Holiday Home Tour Dallas 2019
Welcome to the blog today! It's that time of the year where I walk you through my Holiday Home and I couldn't be more excited.
This year I'd say things are pretty simple. I feel like as the year go on, I go more and more minimal.
I love decorating our home with real greens and actually, this year we tossed out all of our faux garlands except for one.
We really wanted a Scandinavian feel in our kitchen and dining room, so Glen handmade these garlands and I couldn't be more happy!
We also made a tablescape out of fresh cypress and pine as well as a miniature bough for our shelving in our kitchen.
I think the thing I most like about real garlands is that they aren't perfect and make everything not only smell SO good, but feel a lot more cozy!
Before I show you a few more shots of my dining room, let's head back into my Kitchen as I hav a few more minimal touches.
Okay, now we can head back into my Dining Room. I find it really hard to take photos in my house, because the only light comes from the one side of our home and I'm always shooting into it!
But as you can see our decorations are not really even decorations. We've simply decorated with boughs this year and I love how simple and earthy it is.
I also snagged 3 of these amazing Uva Grasses from CB2 and they're so fun to add to any corner!
Below is the entrance into our home and we added a few simple touches here. I love adding greenery around my mirrors. It's a simple way to dress them up and honestly, that's all we did in this space. The reason being, is you can see our Christmas tree and mantle from the front door and you can see into our kitchen and our massive 20′ hand made garland.
Heading into our living room, this is where I spent the majority of my time decorating. Our tree is from King of Christmas and the miniature trees on our mantle are from AFloral and Indigo. If wanting to read more in depth on how I made our garland, click here.
I put a tiny faux flocked tree in Brinley and Rhetts room because I feel like Rhett would tear down a larger one. I keep trying to tell him that pretties are for only looking at, not touching. ( Lights = Pretties )
I have a small set of battery operated twinkle lights on their tree and that is the extent of "Christmas" in the twin room.
Next room is the boys and it's super hard to get a photo of their room as their closet jets out, so It's a tight angle. But here is the small touch of Christmas I put in their room.
In our Master, I put up a garland on our headboard, but every time we leaned back, it poked us in the head..so I took it down yesterday.
But for the sake of the 2019 Holiday Home Tour, I will show you how it looked before I took them down.
And with the master bedroom concludes our 2019 Holiday Home Tour.
Thank you for coming to the blog today to see our space and hopefully be inspired!
